Now Yakutia is the world's only region where a full work cycle of production of diamond items is performed: here they are extracted, sorted, faceted, and the final product is made. To popularize the gems of Yakutia, a Diamond Week was established in 2012.

It is a promotional tour that has become an annual event where the visitors can observe not only how rough diamonds are turned into pieces of jewelry or peer into the world's largest diamond mine - Mir kimberlite pipe, but also participate in the business program: auctions of raw diamond material and exclusive pieces of jewelry, industry conferences, and contacts exchange. In other words, Diamond Week is also about educational event tourism, and it is an international communication platform.
