The memorable date of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug - "Day of Pustozersk" was established by the Law of the NAO No. 26-OZ of April 16, 2012 in order to perpetuate the first Russian city beyond the Arctic Circle, which played a great historical role in the development of the northern territories of Russia. It is celebrated annually on the third Sunday of September. "Day of Pustozersk" is organized in each locality on the basis of cultural institutions. As part of the memorable date, educational programs, book exhibitions, quizzes, etc. will be held.

The main event is planned in the village of Ustye in the form of a visiting holiday "Ust-Gorodets guest". Its participants will be local historians, amateur artists and masters of folk crafts from Naryan-Mar, Velikovisochny, Telviski, Oksino.

The program includes excursions around the territory of the village of Ustya, a demonstration of karbas, fishing competitions, a concert of folklore groups, folk games, rituals, etc.
