In the Troitsko-Pechorsky District of the Komi Republic, the hunter festival "Vӧralysyaslӧn Gaj" is held once every two years. It begins with a ritual: meat and strong sur are cooked by the fire, and hunters with their partners dance in a round dance. Competitions include fire-making, spear throwing, snare making, shooting, and river crossing. The festival concludes with the performance of the "Eremeevsky March".
