Rakhmaninov Preserve-Museum “Ivanovka” is offering a variety of events during the New Year holidays. The program includes musical evenings and quizzes, tea parties by the Christmas tree, music and entertainment events for kids, classical, folk and popular music concerts, winter fun games and Christmas carols in the traditions of an old country seat.

Children’s literature and music parties – “Hello, New Year” – are going to be held in the estate. Young museum-goers will be thrilled to play under a Christmas tree, take part in “Name That Tune” and drink tea.

No doubts, children will love the “Hurray! New Year Has Come!” event. It is a fabulous performance by the Christmas tree including a costume contest, a reciting contest called “Let’s Recite Poems Devoted To Winter And New Year”, a game show, a tea party with honey and cakes, as well as “We All Believe In Miracles” show.

On January 6th Ivanovka is hosting a children’s Christmas Eve where your children will listen to Christmas carols and play fun games by the Christmas tree. Take part in the sleighing competition outside in the estate park. Hot tea to warm up will be served.

The museum is celebrating Russian Orthodox Christmas on January 7th. The holiday program is planned to suit adult visitors. They are kindly invited to the concert and a tea party after.

Starting on January 13th, Ivanovka is organizing the days of rejoicing after Christmas. These days are known in Russia as “svyatki”. Rakhmaninov Preserve-Museum is offering various Christmas carols, games, sleighing, and other fun activities.

On January 18th the museum is celebrating Holy Epiphany. The holiday starts at about midnight. First, a prayer service will be served and later everyone is invited to swim in the specially-arranged Jordan hole.
