Theatre Spring is one of the largest and most significant cultural events of the autonomous district, which collects the best amateur theatres from all over the district and introduces the residents and guests of Ugra to their creativity. Every year, an authoritative jury - masters of the Russian Theatre Movement and specialists in theatre art from Yekaterinburg and Moscow - is invited to theatre action. The festival has been held under the patronage of the District Department of Culture since 1999. By the decision of the organizers, in 2006 Ugorsk was recognized as the theatre capital of the district. From now on the festival has received a permanent residency in our city and continues to contribute to the development of the amateur theatre movement, supports and identifies new talents in theatre art. The festival allows to identify promising directions of activity of amateur theatre collectives KhMAO - Ugra. The organizers of the festival in Ugorsk are: the Department of Culture of the Administration, the municipal autonomous institution "Center of Culture" Ugra - Gift, "the Regional Public Organization" Creative Association "Workshop of the Holiday" of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District - Ugra.
