The Sabantuy holiday promotes friendship and mutual understanding, unites people of all ages and nationalities.
As part of the concert part of the event, with the participation of creative teams from the republics of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan, the cities of the district and Kogalym, an unforgettable festive atmosphere is created, national traditions and customs are presented during the event: national clothes, household items, songs and dances, sports competitions, contests and prizes, generous treats, dishes of Tatar and Bashkir cuisine.
A spectacular, mass part of the event is a sports program, during which men compete for strength and dexterity in climbing a vertical pole, kettlebell lifting and arm wrestling and national wrestling quresh, contests are held for everyone: "Running in bags", "Hitting the pot", "Running with a rocker", "Cut the prize", "Running with a spoon and an egg", bag fights, tug of war.
Traditionally, the national cuisine is presented in cozy, lovingly decorated yurts.
A fair sale is organized at the event site, where everyone can taste koumiss, honey, chak-chak and other pastries, buy shish kebab, fragrant pilaf, various dishes of national Tatar-Bashkir cuisine, souvenirs.
