The project of Surgut Philarmonic, Youth arts festival «Green Noise» was established in 2013. The director of the festival is a member of the Presidential Council for Culture, Arts, and Honoured Artist of Russian Federation Ekaterina Mechetina.
The Festival is held with support of the Culture Ministry of Russian Federation and Department of Culture of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Region.
Green Noise was planned as a forum where young musicians from different Russian and European cities could reveal their talents, share experiences, unite for new creative projects. Each April «Green Noise» arises with the spring, grows up and comes to the peak.
Traditionally the laureates of the International Television Contest for Young Musicians «The Nutcracker» take part in the festival, which is held in Surgut, Khanty-Mansiysk and Nizhnevartovsk. Residents of Yugra visit concerts of outstanding musicians. Artists from Russia, Armenia, Italy, Canada and China have already participated in the project.
The program of the festival consists of solo and orchestral performances, concerts of young musicians (soloists, bands and orchestras), gala concert of all the participants and temporary artistic associations, built up during the festival.
The status of the participants sets very high standards of masterly performance. Being under 20 they are laureates of the international contests and prize winners. They are from different countries and regions, brought up in different artistic traditions but united by talent and their love for art. Young artists under 30 can take part in «Green Noise»
