In 2025, the 155th anniversary of the birth of our great fellow countryman Alexander Ivanovich Kuprin will be celebrated. To mark this date, the Sixth International Theater Festival "Maskerad" dedicated to the writer's anniversary is planned. Preliminary agreement to participate in the program has already been given by:
- Central Academic Theater of the Russian Army (performance based on M. Yu. Lermontov's drama "Masquerade").
- Moscow Theater in the South-West (performance based on M. Bulgakov's play "Zoyka's Apartment").
- Perm Theater "U Mosta" (performance based on A. I. Kuprin's story "The Garnet Bracelet").
- Nizhny Novgorod State Academic Drama Theater named after M. Gorky (performance based on A. I. Kuprin's story "The Garnet Bracelet").
- Brest Academic Drama Theater from the Republic of Belarus (performance based on A. I. Kuprin's story "Olesya").
- Theater for Young Spectators in the city of Zarechny (performance based on A. I. Kuprin's story "Olesya").
- Penza Regional Drama Theater named after A. V. Lunacharsky (performance based on A. I. Kuprin's story "The Pit").
In addition, the festival will include lectures about the life and work of A.I. Kuprin, exhibitions, creative meetings, master classes, and other events aimed at revealing the personality of the writer-fellow countryman as fully as possible.
