The vibrant and lively literary ethnographic holiday "Kargin Fair on Intercession Days" will once again unfold at one of the sites of the Museum-Reserve of M.A. Sholokhov "Tikhiy Don". The event's goal is to revive the cherished traditions of Don fairs and ancient entertainments.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore T.A. Kargin's roller mill, which served as the prototype for merchant Mokhov's mill in M.A. Sholokhov's novel *And Quiet Flows the Don*. They will see unique ancient milling equipment, learn about traditional grain grinding techniques, and discover how trade was organized in the early 20th century.
The Karginskaya Fair is a wonderful celebration where you can enjoy yourself thoroughly, acquire useful household items, meet old friends, and find something for everyone — young and old alike.
