Short Film and Debut Cinema Festival "Shorter"

XIII Short film and debut cinema festival, held annually in late August in Kaliningrad.

The festival aims to present new names, directors and creative teams working in both short and feature films to audiences, industry and film market. "Shorter" is an opportunity to establish oneself as a director or as a team creating full-fledged artistic film content.

Since last year, the "Shorter" festival has two competition programs - short films and debut feature films. The Russian festival "Shorter" was founded in 2013. Its main goal is to open the way for young authors from all over the country to big cinema. The festival traditionally attracts the most attention from producers, heads of film distribution companies and online cinemas. Every year the festival discovers new names, films participating in both programs continue their life in the industry - winning awards at Russian and international festivals, being released theatrically and on online platforms.
