The «Jazz in the Philharmonic» festival with world-class stars was first held at the Kaliningrad Philharmonic in 2004 and has since enjoyed constant popularity among connoisseurs of traditional and avant-garde jazz music. The festival's distinctive feature is that it is philharmonic, meaning its program particularly welcomes creative exploration in the direction of «genre crossroads»: original arrangements of classical works by jazz performers, performance of jazz compositions by academic musicians - organists, chamber orchestras, etc.

Over the years of its existence, «Jazz in the Philharmonic» has become a landmark musical event in the city, gaining enormous popularity and love among lovers of quality music. Since 2004, more than a hundred Russian and foreign jazz groups and orchestras, jazz scene stars have performed on the festival stage, including: the Oleg Lundstrem Jazz Music Orchestra, People's Artist of the RF, laureate of the European G. Mahler Prize Daniil Kramer, laureate of the International F. Busoni Competition (Italy) Valery Grokhovsky, Igor Butman and the Moscow Jazz Orchestra, Elijah Jamal Balbed (USA), Maciej Fortuna Jazz Ensemble (Poland), Pal-Mundo Jazz Trio (Cuba), Sweet Megg & The Wayfarers Jazz Ensemble (USA), Sebastian Studnitzky Trio (Germany), Arturo O'Farrill Jazz Quintet (USA) and many others.

«Jazz in the Philharmonic» is more than a festival, it is an opportunity to meet the middle of autumn in the amazing atmosphere of jazz improvisation, giving a sense of freedom, youth and perfection. Let's listen together to jazz masterpieces performed by real musical talents!

The XXII International Festival «Jazz in the Philharmonic» will be held from November 14 to 19, 2025. The program includes performances by world jazz stars. Kaliningrad residents and city guests will enjoy a diverse and rich program as always. We promise it will be interesting both for those just discovering jazz in all its diversity and for those who consider themselves sophisticated listeners.
