On December 9, the Museum celebrates Heroes of the Fatherland Day. On this day, museum guests at 12:00 and 15:00 will be able to visit the new exhibition INTRA MUROS («Behind the Fortress Wall») in the former powder magazine. The number of tickets is limited.
In the «Amber House» hall, children of participants of the special military operation will read poetry as part of the creative project «OURS for OUR OWN».
At 16:00 there will be a lecture by museum employee Gennady Semyonov «So That They Remember». Listeners will learn about which streets, alleys, and squares of our city are named after heroes of the Great Patriotic War - marshals, Red Army soldiers, pilots, tankers and snipers, - as well as what feats were accomplished on this land.
Continuing the theme at 17:00, lecture attendees will be able to climb with a guide to the observation deck of the «Dona» tower and learn about the advance of the Red Army in East Prussia and details of the Königsberg operation.

For young guests on this day, there will be an educational quest «Secret Writing» through the museum exhibition. For correct answers, participants will receive museum souvenirs as gifts.
