The village of Chemodanovka was famous for its felters, who sold such shoes throughout the region and even to neighbors. During the Great Patriotic War, Chemodanovka residents sent hundreds of pairs of warm and durable shoes to the front from the local felting plant.

On Valenok Day, interactive platforms will be held at the Yubileiny Cultural Center. The main theme of the platforms is connection with the folk craft - felting valenki, including in the village of Chemodanovka. The event will include master classes, folk games, intellectual games, song and dance platforms, a literary halt, and a visit to the museum of the village of Chemodanovka.
